Hello, and thank you for being here.
I’m the counsellor behind The Pearl Practice. My approach is grounded in the belief that no one fits into a single box—and healing is never a one-size-fits-all process. I work holistically, drawing on humanistic, psychodynamic, strengths-based, and solution-focused frameworks to tailor support that aligns with your unique needs and goals.
My path began in primary education, where I learned the value of seeing the world through a child’s eyes. Over time, I was drawn more deeply into the counselling side of my training, completing postgraduate studies to follow that calling. Having experienced the power of therapy myself, I understand the importance of feeling safe, understood, and gently challenged toward growth.
I’ve supported people from diverse walks of life: refugees, older adults, university students, those navigating grief, and communities affected by natural disasters. Across all of these experiences, one truth remains: with the right support, transformation is possible. At the heart of my work is deep empathy. I listen to your experiences, without judgment. I aim to create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported as you explore the complexities of your life. Whether you’re navigating grief, loss, change, or simply a sense of being stuck, my role is to walk alongside you, offering tools, reflection, and warmth.
The name The Pearl was chosen with intention. A pearl is formed through a process of irritation and layering—pain transformed into something luminous. I bring lived experience of grief and personal transformation into my practice, and I believe in the quiet power of turning difficult moments into meaningful growth. Therapy can be challenging at times, but I see it as a journey toward something real and lasting: resilience, insight, and renewed connection with yourself.
Whether you’re facing loss, navigating change, or simply feeling stuck, I’m here to walk alongside you toward clarity, self-compassion, and renewal.
You’re not alone in this. If you’re ready to begin, I’m here to meet you where you are.
